Zodiac Writing Prompts

COLLABORATING WITH a writing friend can be a blast.

I recently embarked on a fun 12-month project with my friend, Bev Walton-Porter, author of Sun Signs for Writers. The challenge is for me to come up with a writing prompt for each sign of the zodiac.

To find my inspiration, I first study the relevant chapter in Bev’s book. Bev posts the monthly prompts on her blog, Elemental Musings.

Each prompt will be presented on the first day of its sign. We purposely waited until the start of the yearly cycle and posted the prompt for Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, on March 21.

The prompt for Taurus was posted on April 20 (fittingly, I was traveling to New Mexico that day to visit my Taurus daughter). Like all the Fear of Writing prompts, these are designed to help bring the fun back into your writing.

Try them! You’ll find the first two at the links below:

March (Aries): Ram in a China Shop

April (Taurus): Bullprints in the Sand

To help you find your writing flow, each prompt also provides a link to a helpful article called “10 Tips for Using the Zodiac Writing Prompts.”

Have fun! – Milli
