I’m putting myself down for Jan 19th. I’ve got make some headway on the first three chapters of my novel which all need to be started from scratch after some plot changes I made.

I usually struggle to do more than 5K in any given day, so this is a huge stretch for me.

      Welcome, Kate!

10K is a huge stretch but we’ll all be rallying for you. Everybody here is just darn proud of one another no matter what our word counts end up at.

Your plot changes sound exciting! I bet if you focus on the thrill of plot breakthroughs, the time will fly and you’ll write more than you thought you could. (That just happened to me *again* while working on a screenplay treatment that I was scared to make progress on, so I reminded myself how many times that dynamic happens. If I just get started, the story will tell itself :)).

See you on the 19th! ~ Milli

Welcome, Kate! Without clicking on your profile link yet, I’d have a guess that you live in Britain. We’ll see if I’m right. (Anyone who says “washing up” is definitely not American. And if you were an Aussie, you’d be sleeping right now. :))

Here’s a link to the check-in page and I’ll look forward to seeing you join us tomorrow.
