Unless something comes up, I plan to be here on the 22nd! π
As happens, I’ve been working on brainstorming for a new story. Maybe I can get some character journal entries written…and the backgrounds for the characters.
Okay. Now I’m getting really excited! I hope tonight’s not another night of very little sleep. π

LOL! I know what you mean. Too excited to sleep.
Glad you’re looking forward to the 22nd.
π ~ Milli
Hahaha! And the music I just bought doesn’t help. I was listening to it right up until bedtime. I kept having Warrant dreams! π
Oh, I’m looking forward to it very much! *happy dance*
Twitter: tarynblake71
Warrant dreams? Do tell!
The pop/hair metal band Warrant. I’d been watching their videos, and the band members kept showing up in my dreams! I don’t remember what they were about, just that Jani Lane, Erik Turner, and Joey Allen kept showing up at the oddest times! π
Twitter: tarynblake71
I wouldn’t mind a few Jani Lane dreams of my own!
I’d prefer Erik Turner, personally. π
I’m just glad I didn’t have Warrant nightmares. Have you seen Jani Lane lately? The others all look normal, just aged a bit, but Jani…looks fairly creepy and downright ancient! O_O
I plan to join on the 25th. I may also do the 22nd if it is possible to sign up late. I am not sure of my schedule for that day.
Twitter: fearofwriting
Welcome, Evelyn! Great to see you.
It’s OK to sign on late for a 10K Day event. The RSVP system is mainly for the psychological value of putting your name down to commit to a date. But we’re always up for another writer to join us at the last minute, so if your schedule gives you any leeway on the 22nd, please join us. That’s even if you can only do a few short blocks of time here and there on that day. We’ve even had people do the 10K Day worked around their regular job and they post the word count from their coffee and lunch breaks.
See you at the 10K!

This is on my calendar for the 25th. My project will be rough drafts of content for the website I’m working on.
This will be my first 10K, so I’m both excited and nervous. I should go check out the prep tips again!
Twitter: fearofwriting
Welcome, Taryn. We’ll be pleased to have you join us on the 25th. Excited and nervous is good! π And we’ll be here to encourage you.
See you next Saturday on the check-in page. If you have any questions/concerns after you reread the prep tips feel free to post them here.
~ Milli
I can’t wait Milli so I will be back in full writing mode to attend both days. Thanks again for scheduling these days. It helps knowing we have someone waiting for us to log in and show up to write.
By the way, I finally put up my website. It’s in the beginning stages but it’s live. π
That has to be considered part of word count (especially the Bio I’m writing which has been tough for me).
See you soon!

Crystal, welcome back! And thanks for your supportive comments about the 10K Days. Attendance has been low the past few months and I was getting discouraged about whether to keep going with it. You just convinced me YES!
I’ll be checking out your new site, for sure. Meanwhile, here’s something that might help with your struggles to write your bio. It’s a guest post here on FoW that might help something click into place for you:

See you on the 22nd AND the 25th. Yay!!!
~ Milli
Thanks Milli, I’ll check out the link on writing a bio. I keep procrastinating on it and so many other writing things. Sorry I didn’t make it on Wednesday and I’m late today. Family seemed to be taking over this morning and work on Wednesday. Today though I have until midnight to get something written.
Here goes to 10K!

Crystal! Glad you could make it! See you over the check-in page. Happy writing!
~ Milli
Awesome, sign me up! I’m in for both days.
SO EXCITED!!
Twitter: fearofwriting
Patti, welcome, and I love the sound of your excitement!
I checked out your site real quick – it looks fun and juicy! – and will be back to read some posts as soon as the dust clears on my week.
Meanwhile, are you on Twitter? I looked down your blog’s sidebar but didn’t see it. Would love to follow you on Twitter from both my Twitter IDs (Fear of Writing and Milliver’s Travels). I love it that you live in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. My husband and I love Canada and I’d be very happy if I could visit PEI. π
~ Milli
So odd I never thought to add my Twitter handle… going to do that RIGHT NOW! Thanks!
We love PEI… π Thank you for the warm welcome!
Looking forward to it Milli…
I hope to be available both days, but I will sign up for Wed. the 22nd definitely.
See everyone there!

Jumping roo-babies! Glad you can make it! π

I’m in! It’s been a while since I did a 10k day, but I have something to finish by the 25th, so yay! Perfect timing! I’m excited!
Twitter: fearofwriting
Wunderbar! Pleased to hear it was perfect timing. See you on the 10K Day check-in page on the 22nd. π

I’m in for both days!

Not sure about Saturday yet, but I am SO going to be here on Wednesday! Can’t wait!!
I plan on writing a piece about thriving as a mindful nonconformist (no, that’s’ NOT the catchy title – lol). And I think (shhhhh – this is a secret) I might even play with some fiction just for fun (as a break in the middle of writing).
So glad you have this space saved for us, Milli! Thanks!!
Twitter: fearofwriting
Karen, I’m thrilled you can join us on Wednesday. And I’ll be ready to read that piece about thriving as a mindful nonconformist as soon as it hits the presses.
I won’t tell anybody you might sneak some fiction in as a break from writing on such a serious topic. π
~ Milli
Ugh! I’m out of town both dates, but will watch because I’m sure you’ll want to do this again sometime.
Twitter: fearofwriting
Hi Terry,
We do this every month – usually the third week of the month – and we always offer both Wednesday and Saturday in the same week, to accommodate all kinds of work schedules.
I’ll tweet you next month when the 10K Day dates roll around. π
~ Milli
I just found your site and it’s AWESOME! I’m so excited to join in on the 22nd. Thanks for this fun idea!
Twitter: fearofwriting
Kate, you just put a big smile on my face. I love your enthusiasm! It will be a blast to have you join us tomorrow for the 10K Day. Welcome!
~ Milli
All right, going to give this another go on Saturday. First time I tried, I ended up getting sick and not getting anything accomplished. We’re going to have different results this time!
Twitter: fearofwriting
Welcome back, Genji. Sorry you got sick last time. Yes, this Saturday has lucky stars and four-leaf clovers all over it. π
~ Milli
This sounds fantastic…Only found out about it today which means that I am going to sign up and RSVP for the 25th.
Need this to get my A into G this week.
– Kim
Twitter: fearofwriting
Welcome, Kim. We can definitely help you get your A into G – but in a friendly, fun way. π
You’re welcome to join us today, as well, even if you only have time to write for a little bit. (In our opinion, any writing you get done counts – it doesn’t have to be 10K words.) But, if not, we’ll see you on Saturday with bells on!
~ Milli
P.S. If you do want to join us today, click on Home in the menu and you’ll find the check-in page for Wed/Sat.
Hi Milli and everyone. I got your email of curiosity as to my recent whereabouts. So I thought I’d post here to let you and everyone else know how much I appreciate your inquiry. I’ve been doing more thinking than writing as of late and staying very busy with this and that. All is well but haven’t been in the writing mode. However, I do have to get on with finishing Mikey Dog and I have a couple other idea rattling around in the old grey matter.
I have been keeping up with everyone’s fabulous blogs and wonderful healthy recipes. Keep up the good work ya’ll. (From Texas)
I will be here Saturday unless I have a spurt of inspiration. Actually in the words of Gene Simmons, “There is no inspiration, only hard work”. So true.
Love ya, miss ya, see ya Saturday.
Twitter: fearofwriting
Yippee! Glad to know you’re doing well and feeling (almost) ready to get back into writing mode. Hopefully, Saturday will push you over the edge and you’ll be fully back into happy writing madness. See you then, Peachebean! Can’t wait to have you with us again.
Love ~ Milli
xo
Just a quickie to check in with you other plucky writers. Love that pluckyness. I will be here on Sat.
Twitter: fearofwriting
OK, goody. Another plucky writer and one of my very favorites. π Don’t forget to click on Home in the top menu on Saturday to find the current check-in page.
And check this out – I wrote it today as part of my 10K Day. I think you’ll enjoy it:
Swimming with Dolphins at Dolphin Discovery, Cozumel
I planned to be around on Wednesday for this, but Life decided against my wishes.
Here’s hoping I’ll make it tomorrow – I know I won’t hit 10K but dedicating a whole day to writing is exactly what I need!
Twitter: fearofwriting
Estrella, yippee! Sorry you couldn’t make it on Wed but I’d be very excited if you could join us tomorrow. Looks like your morning time is our early afternoon so I’ll watch for you then. Good luck!
~ Milli
I am signing up for the 25th…this is my first time doing the 10K day and I am excited! Planning to write an article about my hometown that I’ve been planning to do for a long time and been dilly-dallying about!
Roona
Twitter: fearofwriting
Hooray! Welcome to the 10K Day, Roona. Your writing project for the day sounds fun.
I’ll watch for you on the check-in page, with adjustments for the time difference.
~ Milli
P.S. This will be our first participant checking in from India. Cool!
Twitter: fearofwriting
Just looked at the world clock and remembered that your morning is our evening. However, we have a participant from New Zealand who has already started. You may not overlap, but at least you’ll see the check-ins from someone else in the southern hemisphere if you arrive while we’re still sleeping here in the U.S. π
