Lovely, Anna! I like your willingness to jump in with both feet and do both days. Welcome, welcome, and we’ll see you on the 20th/23rd.
~ Milli
P.S. Do you have a Twitter ID?

Hi Anna! Last month was my first time, and I got soooo much done.
Hello Anna! Glad to see new people to enjoy a day of writing with. Hope you have lots of fun. π
Twitter: tarynblake71
I’m definitely in for the 20th. Possibly the 23rd as well depending on weekend plans.
Twitter: fearofwriting
Looking forward to having you with us again, Taryn. π
Twitter: tarynblake71
Thanks! Last month went a long way toward helping me build momentum on this project, so I’m looking forward to a productive day (or two!).
Hey Taryn! Glad to see you back! π

This will be my first time. I’m going to RSVP for the 20th. It’s Taryn’s fault. π If I’m not completely burned out after that, I may also do the 23rd.

Welcome, Christy! Glad Taryn told you about us. I think you’ll have fun. See you on the 20th.
~ Milli
Howdy Christy! Seems we have several new people this time ’round. Hope you enjoy hanging out and sharing in the writing fun. π

Oh dear, I’ve been terrible with keeping you guys up-to-date on my wordcounts! Ok…so I am committing only to July 20 (for now). Working on Camp NaNoWriMo..so I want to get that 10K in that day.
So sorry I’ve been a slacker, Milli!
Twitter: fearofwriting
LOL! We’ll have to beat you with feather pens for being a word count slacker. π
You are officially forgiven and we’ll see you on the 20th!
~ Milli
But have you been having fun writing? That’s the real question. See ya on Wednesday. I’ve got a feeling it’s gonna be a good day for all. π
Count me in for the 20th. You know how much I love these things! π

A 10K Day is not complete without our Lois. π
Thanks, Milli! π Just need to figure out exactly what I’m going to write. π
Hey Lois! π
Hey, Maria. π What’s shakin’?
Thankee! *curtsies*
Count me in for the 23rd; it will be my first 10K day.
Twitter: fearofwriting
Welcome, Mary. Glad you found us. See you next Saturday. π
~ Milli
Looking forward to meeting you Mary. See you on Wednesday! π
I’ve not been able to write much of anything since the past 10K and so would like to RSVP for the 20th.
It’s looking great with new people coming in too. I’m looking forward to spending the day with everyone! π
Twitter: fearofwriting
Hi Maria, pleased to see you, as always. Should be another fun 10K Day hangout. See you on the 20th!
~ Milli
Thanks Milli! I’m hoping to actually be able to settle down and get something accomplished this time round. π

Maria, I saw you were one of the commenters on Taryn’s post about what she learned from her first 10K Day. Maybe you could do something similar – record what works for you during your next 10K Day and maybe which interruptions could be staved off with a little extra prep next time. I’d be interested to hear about it if you do.
~ Milli
I will join on Wednesday. This is also my first time, I didn’t know such a thing as a 10k challenge even existed until I saw the post on FB. I signed up for NaNoWriMo in November and it feels like good preparation.
The circumstances are not ideal, I will be at my parents and driving back the almost 3 hours home in the evening, but what the heck. I’ll see what I can do before that!!!
See you on Wednesday!!

Welcome, Armelle :~)
I’m glad I remembered to post the RSVP link on Facebook today.
You’ve got the right attitude, which is just to dive in and try it even if circumstances are not ideal. In truth, they rarely ever are and none of us would be writers if we waited for “ideal.” LOL!
~ Milli
Just saw that I left the RSVP in the wrong place. So here it is…

No worries Armelle. Just jump in whenever you can. Get some writing done, hang out, that’s what makes it a great day. And there’s Saturday too, if you want to pop in then. Lot’s of luck to ya! π
Twitter: fearofwriting
You actually did post in the correct place. Thanks for finding your way here from FB. π
Twitter: pattistafford
I plan to at least pop in on both days and cheer everyone on. I need both days to be productive, but with trying to keep a day time schedule and a night time schedule, it may all be jibberish. LOL.
I may start with the Aussies at midnight and end with the west coasters at midnight and flop somewhere in the middle. It’ll be fun. π
I’ll be working on some freelance work, so I hope to have my topics lined out by then.
And, as Patti always says, “Let’s kick some word arse!”
Twitter: fearofwriting
Isn’t jibberish the whole point? LOL! Just kidding. But you’ll be allowed to snooze in between projects, given your crazy schedule of late.
C U there ~ Milli
Howdy Patti! π
I’ll be writing Wednesday. I have a lot of work to prep so that I can write, write, write.
Twitter: fearofwriting
Go, Tess! Sometimes prep is half the battle.
See you on Wednesday, with that “write, write, write” mantra playing softly in the background.
~ Milli
I’m RSVP-ing for the 23rd.

Welcome, H.N. We’ll look forward to you joining us on Saturday.
~ Milli
Thanks for the welcome, Milli! (I have your book, and used to follow you on twitter before I ditched out of twitter). It’s a great blog, I enjoy it a lot. I’m finally in a position where I’m shepherding a small crew towards writing Y/A novels this summer, and I (and at least one other of the crew) am going to give the 10K day a try.
Twitter: fearofwriting
Ditching Twitter sounds therapeutic. I would probably do that too if it wasn’t for needing to provide that connection for the people who benefit from FoW.
Glad you enjoy the blog and thanks for letting me know. That made my day. π
Your crew of shepherds (or shepardees? ;)) for the YA novels sounds like good stuff. I’ll be thrilled if you can use the 10K Day format to help you with that. Will be interested to hear what you think after you’ve tried it out.
~ Milli
I will be joining all the other brave souls on the 23rd of July for the 10k writing extravaganza!
Twitter: fearofwriting
Melissa, welcome, and I love the way you called it a writing extravaganza. That puts a big smile on my face. π
C U on the 23rd!
~ Milli
Good morning all!
I have been sick since the weekend (thank you son, for bringing that home from work π ) and so the prepping didn’t go as planned. Did do a bit of thinking though while laid out on the couch, ear to the pillow to make it feel better.
To get back into the groove of my western novels started during NaNo, I’m going to attempt a short along those lines. Yes, I’m still working out characters. π They are slowly coming to me in odd moments, mostly driving down the road in the dark.
I’m looking forward to spending the day with fellow writers. Lot’s of luck to everyone!
And just for old time’s sake…Rawhide! π

Cool, Stacie! Welcome, and we’ll see you tomorrow over on the 10K Day check-in page (which you can find by clicking on Home — or on the “Live While It’s Happening” link that should appear underneath this comment).
C U then! π ~ Milli
