This is the first post in a series about our FoW regulars. I hope this will be a fun way to help you get to know one another better. ~ Milli

LOIS EIGHMY bought an author-signed copy of Fear of Writing and subscribed to the newsletter (Fear of Writing Gazette) back in 2005. But it wasn’t until she answered an invitation in the FoW Gazette to join the first 10K Day that I had the pleasure of meeting her. She’s been an avid 10K-er ever since.
There are so many interesting and beautiful things to discover about Lois.
For instance, she’s a prolific writer who loves her characters passionately. She journals about her characters online and maintains several blogs.
She has served as a course presenter for the Fear of Writing Online Course, where she helped various students overcome their fear of writing.
But many of you already know and love her, so today I want to especially tell you about Lois’s note cards.

I stumbled upon these treasures when I noticed a link for GreetingCardUniverse.com in her e-mail signature. I clicked on the link and fell in love with her artistry. Lois specializes in flowers, but she also does frogs, foxes, birds, dragons and the occasional fairy.
I enjoy the vivid colors she employs to create cards that can be used for anything from a catch-up note to a special occasion. I had a blast going through her five pages of selections.
It was difficult to choose only a few, but I finally settled on the four you see here. To enjoy them first myself, I displayed them in my office where I could see them whenever I was sitting at my desk. After that I used for them family birthdays.
Here’s Lois in her own words:
I work mainly with colored pencil and ink, though I’ve also worked a little bit with watercolors and acrylics, as well as your basic black pencil. I love flowers, as you can see by the majority of my cards.Writer/Artist Lois Eighmy
I live in the Midwest with my wonderful husband, Jeff; our white calico cat, Chloe; our brindle mutt girly girl, Nikita; and several assorted fish.
I love to read, write, draw, listen to good ol’ rock and roll, watch movies, and role play (via my Lucky Raven character journals and e-mail).
I’ve participated in Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month) every November since 2006, and I’m happy to say that I’ve won every time. May the trend continue!
Wander over to Lois’s store and feast your eyes. You can leave a testimonial at the bottom of her page.
I’m proud to count Lois as one of FoW’s loyal regulars.

WOW! I love the cards. Lois is a woman of many talents!
Thanks, J! I may have many talents, but my favorite is still writing. 🙂

Lois is Awesome!
She also knits, crochets, makes chain mail jewelry, and cooks some pretty exotic sounding dishes. 🙂
Thanks, Patti! 😀
Speaking of chain maille, I’d like to get back to that.
And knitting. I haven’t touched that sweater in weeks…and the legwarmers haven’t even been started yet! O_O
I should post my chicken and veggie curry recipe sometime. 🙂
