WELCOME TO ALL those plucky writers who are participating this week!
This is the place to post your check-ins for Wed, July 25 and/or Saturday, July 28.
To learn more about this event, mouse over 10K Days in the blog menu above.
If you’re participating from overseas, feel free to start according to your own time zone. This check-in page is posted the evening before the event so you can. 🙂
DON’T FORGET TO TAKE REGULAR BREAKS!
You’ll regret it later (when you’re feeling fried) if you don’t take regular breaks. Even if you’re on fire with your writing, take your scheduled breaks.
Every two hours is recommended. Breaks are also for posting check-ins.
WHAT SHOULD YOU POST FOR YOUR CHECK-INS?
TIP: If you don’t see your comment right away after posting, try refreshing your screen.
1. You can mention your word count if you want to. If you’d rather not, please comment about your progress thus far.
2. You can also describe what you’re working on.
3. Feel free to mention how you’re feeling and how the day is going for you.
4. It’s always fun to hear what people are drinking, snacking on or listening to.
DON’T FORGET TO log out of forums, Facebook, Twitter, email, etc.
Go gettum, Tigers! – Milli

Well, I’ve added more than a 1000 words to the draft since the last check-in, so the day hasn’t been a complete waste (at least as far as writing is concerned). It ain’t over until the fat lady sings, right? I won’t reach the goal, but it’s good practice for the next 10K Day 🙂 Until my next check-in… 🙂

Jasmine, that’s great about the extra 1K. I’m off to bed now but I’ll read your final check-in in the morning. And it sounds like we’ll be seeing you next month for another 10K Day. Yay. 🙂
Good night ~ Milli
Good luck Jasmine – you can do it! After all – it’s still a thousand words more than you started out with, right? And even still, you gave today a shot, which is a lot more than some (most) people.
Well, I was unexpectedly surprised when some friends dropped by to whisk me off to a movie (that I HADN’T planned), which turned out to be terrible, and which I really regret going to – not only as writers time gone, but precious two hours of my life.
I’ll try to add another 1K before I go to bed – oh well, today has been fun, if nothing else 🙂

Peter, sorry about the bad movie. I know how that feels. Glad you had fun today and good luck with that extra bit of writing before bed.
Cheers ~ Milli

Thank you for your support, Peter 🙂 Sorry about the movie lol Well, I added another 1K words, so that’s 2K produced in the period of three hours (that’s the only time I had to actively participate today, the draft in my notebook not included in this count). Well, I feel better now because I thought it was too late to participate just three hours before the end of the 10K Day. I can’t wait until the next one, Milli, and I’ll make sure to take better advantage of it, too!
