P.S. For writers who are participating from overseas and who are ahead of the U.S. in their time zone: I always post the check-in page on the evening of the day before the scheduled date. I’ve got two stories I’m working on (one’s in the planning stages right now), so I’ve got material to work with!
Also have that article to outline. π

Jo, it will be fabulous to have you here again. I hope you can make it. xo
I’m on for Wednesday the 24th. This is my first try at a 10K day and I am not sure yet what exactly I’ll be working on. Possibly I will just charge ahead with my current novel. Looking forward to a new writing experience and having people to share it with!
Welcome aboard! Hope you’ll have a great time doing the 10K Day and come back next month.
I’d say have a look around on the website here, there are many helpful articles on how to best utilize your 10K Day — like mine, which is up today as a guest post *winks*

Kit, we’re looking forward to welcoming you to your first 10K Day. See you in the morning!

Well, timing is a bit off this month. I’m working on the 24th, and knowing how that worked out previously, better not to give myself the added headache of not achieving my writing goals that day.
On the 27th I have to go help the Chef’s grandma make bouquets, on account of the Romanian Day of the Dead celebrations. Her garden is filled with beautiful Chrysanthemums.(http://goo.gl/8u9WV)
However, I might have the 26th off, in which case I will treat it as if it were Saturday and do the 10K Day then.
Also, I am supposed to have the first week of November off and will use it to my writing advantage.
Will let you know π

Yay for grandmas with gardens full of chrysanthemums!!
I have no idea what I’ll write, or even where I’ll be and what I’ll be doing these days, but hey!! Count me in!! I need practice for NaNoWriMo… π
I’ll start with Wednesday, and will see if I manage Saturday as well…

Armelle, terrific to see you again! Wherever you end up being tomorrow in the physical world, we’ll be glad to have you here with us tomorrow. π

I’m in for the 24th. I’m sending up a prayer that I will get with it!!! π
This will be my first 10K Day hurray! I will be writing on Wednesday October 24th. I will be writing HCM’s (Heart Clutching moments)for my book. I want to focus on pivotal points in my story. I will follow my outline but focus on key points of the story. I want to evoke intensity and suspense. I will try to be spontaneous in my writing, not just following my outline. This is my plan anyway. I hope it works!
Thanks for the inspiration!

Roz, sounds like a great plan for your first 10K Day and I love that you have your own acronym for key moments in your book (HCM).
I am currently resting my ankle. Mild sprain, hardly swollen, but does hurt when I walk (much less by today). I managed to put babysitting off for a few days, and I have to see if maybe it could be off for the whole week.
The kid’s not okay with me sitting pretty on a bench, so running after a 5 yo through the park and playground doesn’t sound too appealing right now.
Anyway, blessing in disguise which allows me to be here tomorrow, the 24th. Yay!
Don’t think I’ll put myself under pressure to reach 10K, since I already have a hard time sitting in one place since Sunday morning… but I’ll do my best to get as many blog posts done as possible.
I’ll have next week off either way, so I’ll be doing more writing then.

Wah. Sorry to hear about the sprained ankle. But could this in some way be divine intervention from a writing angel? Sounds like you’ll be using it to your advantage. See you tomorrow our time/your time! xo
Milli and friends, (UPDATE) Sorry I must drop out of 10K for Wed. the 24th but I can do it on the 27th. A family issue has come up. I have the same plan for the 27th.
Thanks,
Roz Wilson

OK, Rozzy, thanks for letting us know. I hope your family issue gets resolved. And we shall see you here on the 27th!
