WELCOME TO ALL those plucky writers who are participating this week!
This is the place to post your check-ins for Wed, April 24 and/or Saturday, April 27.
To learn more about this event, mouse over 10K Days in the blog menu above.
If you’re participating from overseas, feel free to start according to your own time zone. This check-in page is posted the evening before the event so you can. 🙂
DON’T FORGET TO TAKE REGULAR BREAKS!
You’ll regret it later (when you’re feeling fried) if you don’t take regular breaks. Even if you’re on fire with your writing, take your scheduled breaks.
Every two hours is recommended. Breaks are also for posting check-ins.
WHAT SHOULD YOU POST FOR YOUR CHECK-INS?
TIP: If you don’t see your comment right away after posting, try refreshing your screen.
1. You can mention your word count if you want to. If you’d rather not, please comment about your progress thus far.
2. You can also describe what you’re working on.
3. Feel free to mention how you’re feeling and how the day is going for you.
4. It’s always fun to hear what people are drinking, snacking on or listening to.
DON’T FORGET TO log out of forums, Facebook, Twitter, email, etc.
Go gettum, Tigers! – Milli
Dang! I completely forgot! And I’m not unemployed yet, so will try and sneak in for a couple of hours on Saturday. Have a lovely wordy day people!

As usual, I’m not shooting for 10K. I’m just writing. At the moment, I don’t have anything that’s in the writing stage, but I’ve been writing scenes exploring my characters and their world–fiction freewriting, if you will.
I never RSVP’d because I hadn’t planned on participating, but my schedule has lightened up a lot, and my wrists have been feeling a lot better (as long as I take it easy), and I have a series I’m planning and exploring, so this is a good time for a 10K Day. 😀
I’m not eating or drinking anything yet, but I plan to start with a couple of cups of Yamamotoyama Genmai-matcha. From there, who knows?
No music, I don’t think? But that can change. Maybe I should look for some free Hindu music. After all, my character is from prehistoric Kashmir. 🙂

Some morning journaling to push through writer’s block that has held me in it’s grip all month. My day will be considered successful if I get words on paper beyond a to do list. Even the journaling is a good start because it is the first I opened that journal since April 1. About 750 words so far. Next up a speech on creativity and imagination. The ideas are forming, hopefully they are ready to play.
Well, research has slowed me down somewhat, so I’m only at 940 words. I plan to change that after having some Mongolian beef and Japanese noodles for lunch.
I’ll check back later to update again–hopefully with a lot more words! 🙂

Final word count for today is 2,600. Not bad, considering that I did some photo searches and research, as well.
So not bad, and I’m sure I’ll get my weekly goal of 10K by Friday night without a problem. 🙂

naturally like your website however you have to test the spelling on
quite a few of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling problems and I to find it very bothersome to tell the truth however I’ll definitely come back again.
