Every two hours is recommended. Breaks are also for posting check-ins.

WHAT SHOULD YOU POST FOR YOUR CHECK-INS?

2. You can also describe what you’re working on.

3. Feel free to mention how you’re feeling and how the day is going for you.

4. It’s always fun to hear what people are drinking, snacking on or listening to.

DON’T FORGET TO log out of forums, Facebook, Twitter, email, etc.

I’m here! Just checking in late!

I’ve been taking it easy, but so far, I’ve got 1,776 words written, and a good deal of it was dialogue. It’s an informal counseling session, so it’s all good. 🙂 Don’t know if I’ll reach my goal of 5K, but we’ll see. I hope I can!

I’m currently having a late lunch–seafood on a multi-grain pocket bread. Also having a cup of Organic India Tulsi Sweet Rose tea. Yummy!

Anyone else writing today? Anyone? Anyone at all?

      Hi Lois!

Looks like it’s just you and me today. I’m having a super-late start and still need to wrap up a few things before I can switch to my writing.

See you here a bit later on. 🙂

    Milli! *happy dance*

I sure hope so! I need to roleplay for a bit in a few minutes, but I hope to write a little more after dinner. So It will be a little while yet. 😉

I got sidetracked with editing blog entries, but I hadn’t really planned on joining in here today. I was going to wait until Saturday. Haha! But I’m glad I stopped in. If I write anymore, I’ll definitely be back later. If not, I want to wish you good luck. 🙂

I can’t wait, though I might get a late start. That’s one of Jeff’s days off, and we tend to sleep in. 🙂

I wanted to sleep in this morning myself but my plan didn’t work out. I’m feeling pretty groggy (went to bed too late) but I’m here at my desk groping around for a starting point. Hope to see you here later this morning!

OK, finally got all my decks cleared. Had to help a friend who had a death in the family.

I’m feeling too unsettled to work on my novel, and I’ve got a bunch of stuff to work out in my life, so I’m just going to journal.

Journaling’s good. I haven’t character journaled in a while. I almost want to do some of that. I’ve also been freewriting a lot of scenes that might or might not make it into my McCabe Saga novels. 🙂 (I actually have four in mind!)

Not to scare my Muse after not participating in a 10K Day for so long, I’ll be spending this week and next week writing as much as I can.
No word count requirements, just writing. I know some days will be better than others, but to write again, every single day is my main goal!

Sounds like a wonderful plan! I’m probably not going to do word counts today either (for various reasons) so if you feel like leaving a check-in today I’d love to hear from you. xo

My “stats” are good so far, might even do a word counting next weekend before I have to head back to work. I wrote a super long e-mail today, and a few comments, so I probably won’t count that in.

But I have finished an article for FFDO, a couple of blog posts for my blog and tackled quite a bit of editing and work e-mails this week. Pleased with the pace and results so far 🙂

Hope you have a wonderful 10K Day, Milli *huge hugs*

        Happy writing everyone!

          Estrella,

Lovely to hear from you today. (Go here to see the heart I am sending you)

Your writing/editing achievements this week sound inspirational! Thanks for the cheery update. I was excited when I saw there was a message from you. 🙂

          Hugs backatcha ~ Milli

Aww, thank you for the lovely heart! <3

I really need to start taking part in 10K Days again, I miss having one whole day to write even when the word counts don't add up all the way to 10K.

This week I'll continue with the pace I've set last week, and with the Chef having only one day off from work, I think I'll manage to even write more than last week.

            More hugs, and many kisses!

Did some journaling in my Moon Goddess journal. Not trying to set any kind of “pace” today. Just here to enjoy myself and find a balm for some recent soul sores.

In a second journaling session, I started to write up some of the stuff I’ve managed to conquer lately (baby steps) that are helping me pull through a hard time. I only got about a page of prefacing stuff written when I got hungry for breakfast. While I was cooking and eating breakfast, a whole avalanche of ideas came for an online course I’ve been wanting to write over at unleashyourwriting.com. So now I’ve been madly scribbling those down, and not beating myself up that I couldn’t remember every point.

I’m having a happy writing day so far. The brainstorm feels like a nice bonus. 🙂

Just finished six handwritten pages of life planning type stuff. Feels good! I’m going to make a second cappuccino as my reward.

I’m here! I’m here! Sorry I’m late for this very important date, but I’m here at long last! 😀

I started something the other day to work on, so I’m about to start on it. The reason for my tardiness is that Jeff and I spent several hours having breakfast and shopping in town. It was nice being out and about. Honestly, I don’t think we do it often enough. I miss days like this!

And now I’d best get on with it. One of my characters is currently people watching, but his “fun” is about to be interrupted, and then war will break out. And all because of a woman! 😛

No word count goal. Just want to have fun writing. 🙂

      LOIS!!

So happy you could make it. 🙂 🙂 I totally hear you about the therapy value of having breakfast and shopping in town. I don’t do it very often either and it’s always so good when it happens.

The set-up for your character to be interrupted sounds like tons of fun! I could almost steal that for myself it sounds so fun. 😀

I’m deeply immersed in more journaling but my time is running out. I have to go to a party at 4:30 (oh, darn :D) and I’m still in my jammies and need a shower. But I’ll do another check-in before we leave for the BBQ. And I’ll be watching my Blackberry for updates from you in case you continue writing while I’m at the party.

      XO!

I’m a little stuck at the moment (and only have 388 words so far! :P), but I’ll be working on it more after dinner (which is almost done). Mongolian beef with couscous. Yum. 🙂

I’ll check in once more, but I’m not sure what time it will be. I can’t wait to see what I come up with here! 😀

          Good luck!! And YUM.

OK, we’re off to the party. I got to a good stopping point with my journaling before I had to hit the shower. Very happy with my day of writing. Wish I had time to do more.

          Have fun!

            Dinner was very yum. 🙂

And I finished the short: 3,415 words! 😀

It was a good day, even if I didn’t get 10K (not that I expected to!). I wanted to have fun, and I did!

Now, I’m off to have some Bordeaux and relax with the Hubbs.

Have fun at the party! 😀
