WHERE TO GO TO PARTICIPATE
ON SEPTEMBER 25 OR 28
To participate, return to the HOME PAGE of this blog on the morning of your chosen 10K Day. (Each writer determines his/her own start time.) You’ll find a special post called 10K Day: Live While It’s Happening! and that’s where you’ll be posting your check-ins.
The Live, While It’s Happening! post will give you pointers on what to post for your check-ins.
Please leave your RSVP/comments below.
See you at the 10K! ~ Milli
P.S. For writers who are participating from overseas and who are ahead of the U.S. in their time zone: I always post the check-in page on the evening of the day before the scheduled date. So feel free to write within your own time zone and to post your check-ins. We’ll be glad to have you warm up the page for the rest of us. π

I will be here probably for both days. I’m planning on working on the curriculums for some new online courses. Also, as usual, probably a bunch of journaling.
I’ll be here for at least one of the days. As usual (lately), I won’t be shooting for 10K. I’ll be shooting just to write. Freewriting (fiction) rocks! π

Glad to hear you can make it! π
I wouldn’t dream of missing it. π

I will be here on the 25th but probably not the 28th as Saturdays get consumed by family happenings. I’ll be setting my goals as I prepare this week for next weeks writing.

Hi Lori,
Nice to have you among us once again. Look forward to seeing you on the 25th. π
Yay! I’ll be here on the 25th as I have Wednesday off from work luckily π
Not sure what I’ll be working on yet, except for a feature article I know I have to write (known about if since June…). Good thing the deadline is October!

So glad you have the day off. That was perfect timing. It’s going to be fun! xoxo

By the way, when you’re scheming what else to write about on the 25th, it might be a bit motivational to hear that I’m in the process of waking up MT. I’ve got two stories that were submitted back in March (right before the craziness started) that I need to finish and publish first. After that, it’s first come first served. π A few writers have been nudging me to get going Milliver’s Travels going again, so hopefully there will be a nicely-paced flow of stories coming in eventually.
It really was perfect timing!
Oh hey, do Scrabble-formed words count? π I might end up playing with my mom when she arrives home from work in the evening (Only if I finished my feature article though. I really need to get that done.)

Scrabble-formed words do count! (I just invented that new policy after seeing your question. :))
That *is* how new policies get invented π
It sounds like fun and inspiring. As I was playing yesterday, my mind played around on the side with different words that got formed.
So I can imagine it helping when one’s stuck; instead of giving up, play Scrabble and see if it inspires!

Do you ever play Scrabble online? I’m not an online games person whatsoever (just seeing Candy Crush makes me want to run and hide) but I did play Scrabble once with a friend on Facebook and it was fun. I have no clue where to find that app again . . . but if you ever want to have a game I would make a point of looking for it. π
I know you weren’t talking to me, but you should be able to find the app on Amazon for the Kindle or at Google Play for other Android devices.
I have it on my Kindle, but it stopped working, and their tech support was no help. I need to contact them again. For some reason, I can’t log in to Facebook to start/play games with my contacts there. π

Thanks, Lois. π I’m actually not that sophisticated and I probably used the word “app” incorrectly. I don’t own a Kindle. I do have a Blackberry but I don’t use apps on it (I don’t have the patience :D).
I remember one time I played Scrabble on Facebook with a friend, but I probably deleted it. I should be able to find it again. I’m just very lazy about those kinds of things.
You’re welcome! And lazy isn’t a word I’d ever associate with you, Milli. π
I’m in for Saturday! I’m not sure about the 10k part, but I want to get the first draft of a novel outline done. After that there’s some smaller writing tasks to complete.

Hi Katherine!
Thanks for the RSVP. We will look forward to writing with you on Saturday. π
