WELCOME TO ALL those plucky writers who are participating this week!

This is the place to post your check-ins for Wed, Nov 16 and/or Saturday, Nov 19.

If you’re participating from overseas, feel free to start according to your own time zone. This check-in page is posted the day before the USA event for that special purpose. 🙂

DON’T FORGET TO TAKE REGULAR BREAKS!

You’ll regret it later (when you’re feeling fried) if you don’t take regular breaks. Even if you’re on fire with your writing, take your scheduled breaks.

Every two hours is recommended. Breaks are also for posting check-ins.

WHAT SHOULD YOU POST FOR YOUR CHECK-INS?

TIP: If you don’t see your comment right away after posting, try refreshing your screen.

1. You can mention your word count if you want to. If you’d rather not, please comment about your progress thus far.

2. You can also describe what you’re working on.

3. Feel free to mention how you’re feeling and how the day is going for you.

4. It’s always fun to hear what people are drinking, snacking on or listening to.

DON’T FORGET TO log out of forums, Facebook, Twitter, email, etc.

Good morning. Happy Writing everyone. 🙂

I’m leaving in a minute to attend a Parent Observation event at my grandson’s school. I plan to get started after I get back.

I wrote 3629 words today, editing about 20 or so pages for work.
That seems like a lot, but hey, my 16th is almost over, so here’s wishing everyone else a great writing day also!

    Woot, woot Estrella! That’s great.

I’m at 1,000 words. About to drive my husband to the train station and I’m hoping to get in another 1,000 before I break for a shower and all that stuff. My plan is to continue to work on fiction this morning, and then switch to some long overdue writing on visioning this afternoon.

I finished about 2,000 words before I had to break for my lunch hour at the school. About 750 of that was journal work to gather my thoughts and ideas the rest I wrote on my fiction piece for November. Sometimes lunch with the students is good for the brain. Unless I plan to add a scared rabbit to my plot line, I think todays lunch will be fodder for other stories. I plan to grab my lunch shortly and head back to the page.

Got a very late start after attending an event at my grandson’s school. Feeling way behind at only 407 words. Part of that was writing by hand in my goal journal and the other part was for an outline.

Ready now to plunge in and generate some words.

I’ve been working for about 2 hours and forgot to check in. 🙂 I’m about 2k in. I need to move my existing story into Scrivener then back to writing.

Hi guys, I got on a fantastic roll this morning–over 4K words so far. I finally forced myself into the shower! I highly recommend brain.fm, where you can plug into headphones and listen to specially designed music to help you focus. I bought a subscription, but you can get 10 sessions for free before signing up Now I’ve got to go eat something. But I’ll be back.

I’ve reached 1,764 words and just starting to feel my flow. But now my stomach is demanding lunch. Darn. I hate it when a good flow is interrupted. 0_#

    Pesky hunger pangs!

I just got to 6K words on my Nanowrimo novel. I was behind, but now I’m at 30K for the month and I feel good about that. I’ve got a bit of wiggle room in case I have to take a few days off from writing around Thanksgiving.

Going to take a break and come back to do some business visioning. I so love this day, Milli!

I’ve made it to 4,045 words. Wish I didn’t get such a late start but I’m happy otherwise.

Time for another break. Going to drink some water, walk around a bit and make a decaf cappuccino.

Woo-hoo, yay for you, Milli! I’ve got to teach tonight so I’m done for the day, but I’m quite happy with my progress.

It’s late (10pm) and I had a bunch of interruptions but I finally made it to 6,982 words. This made up for having such a late start.

I’ve been following the outline I wrote this morning and I’m happy with my results from today.

I’ve been hit hard by the flu, so I’ve had to take some time off from writing (and packing to move). I’m still sick, but not quite as bad this morning, so I plan to join in on Saturday.

Great word counts. You guys rock! 😀

Oh Lois so sorry to hear that. I hope you feel better soon.

I may try to join you guys for a couple hours on Saturday, but there’s a lot going on so I’m not sure yet.
