WELCOME TO ALL those plucky writers who are participating this week!

This is the place to post your check-ins for Wed, Dec 14 and/or Saturday, Dec 17.

If you’re participating from overseas, feel free to start according to your own time zone. This check-in page is posted the day before the USA event for that special purpose. 🙂

DON’T FORGET TO TAKE REGULAR BREAKS!

You’ll regret it later (when you’re feeling fried) if you don’t take regular breaks. Even if you’re on fire with your writing, take your scheduled breaks.

Every two hours is recommended. Breaks are also for posting check-ins.

WHAT SHOULD YOU POST FOR YOUR CHECK-INS?

TIP: If you don’t see your comment right away after posting, try refreshing your screen.

1. You can mention your word count if you want to. If you’d rather not, please comment about your progress thus far.

2. You can also describe what you’re working on.

3. Feel free to mention how you’re feeling and how the day is going for you.

4. It’s always fun to hear what people are drinking, snacking on or listening to.

DON’T FORGET TO log out of forums, Facebook, Twitter, email, etc.

I’m here. Going to have coffee and do a little reading to get relaxed. And then dive into a new story.

Anyone else out there yet? Lois?

I’m here. I’m all project management until late afternoon. I’m at about 3k in detailed project notes and emails.

My Goal: End at 1:45 pm

I’ll be back. **In my Arnold voice.**

    🙂

Ooops! I got sidetracked looking for photos for a book cover. 😛 I’ll try to join in on Saturday, since it’s too late for me now. 😉

I’ve been doing a lot of daydreaming today and going at the pace of a tortoise. I’ve written 1,175 words so far. Now I need some lunch.

I wound up with 2,432 words. A very so-so day for word count but I enjoyed working on my new story.

My estimate count is about 6k. I worked more than write. urgh… But I’m having a personal 10k day tomorrow since I can’t participate Saturday. Thanks for hosting!

That’s awesome about the 6K words, Dana. Pretty darn impressive for someone who says she worked more than she wrote. 🙂

Good luck with your personal 10K day tomorrow. Feel free to use this page to post your word counts.

I completely neglected counting my words yesterday as we ended up working in a team for the Winter Code Games (ongoing today as well) organized in our firm.

I’ll aim to have my 10K Day on Saturday instead, since I will have the weekend off 🙂
    Can’t wait!
