WELCOME TO ALL those plucky writers who are participating this week!

This is the place to post your check-ins for Wed, January 18 and/or Saturday, Jan 21.

If you’re participating from overseas, feel free to start according to your own time zone. This check-in page is posted the day before the USA event for that special purpose. 🙂

DON’T FORGET TO TAKE REGULAR BREAKS!

You’ll regret it later (when you’re feeling fried) if you don’t take regular breaks. Even if you’re on fire with your writing, take your scheduled breaks.

Every two hours is recommended. Breaks are also for posting check-ins.

WHAT SHOULD YOU POST FOR YOUR CHECK-INS?

TIP: If you don’t see your comment right away after posting, try refreshing your screen.

1. You can mention your word count if you want to. If you’d rather not, please comment about your progress thus far.

2. You can also describe what you’re working on.

3. Feel free to mention how you’re feeling and how the day is going for you.

4. It’s always fun to hear what people are drinking, snacking on or listening to.

DON’T FORGET TO log out of forums, Facebook, Twitter, email, etc.

Go gettum, Tigers! – Jenny & Milli

    Yay, 10K Day!!! 😀

Today, I’ll be doing some story planning and brainstorming. Doubt I’ll get a lot done, since we’re up in Joplin, but while Jeff’s gone for a job interview, I’ll do what I can. 🙂

If I’m lucky, I’ll get some time later, too. 😉

Lois, have fun doing your 10K Day in Joplin. And good luck to you & Jeff for the success of his job interview!!

        Thanks, Milli! 🙂

He got back from the interview a little while ago. He said it went well. He won’t know just yet if he got the job. They’ve got five people to hire, and they’re still interviewing people.

Hi! I’m just getting started because I’ve been in work meetings all morning. I’m going to be working on some job-related writing, but words are words, right?

Yay, Taryn, you’re back! So pleased to see you. And, yep, job-related writing counts too. 🙂

I’m not quite here yet. Stayed up way too late to get a project done for a client. Now I’m trying to wake up enough to write. Plus, I have to handle a financial matter first that I’ve been putting off. I’ll be back a bit later.

I’m here. I forgot to check in. 🙂

This morning I wrote 2k. I edited 40 pages. I’m heading to lunch.

I planned the first story for a short story anthology, then I came up with the synopses for the rest of the stories in the anthology.

    My total is 3,034.

I don’t know if I’ll get any more writing in, but if I can, I’ll update later. 🙂

We’re about to have lunch: leftover chicken, stuffing (just a tiny bit of bready stuff for me), broccoli, and other stuff. 🙂

I am here and writing slowly. I have worked on some journaling to gather my thoughts. Following that, I have been working on a presentation I need to make tonight. Break is over, time to do some more editing and practicing.

Got an incredibly late start but I’m on 1K, some of it journaling and some of it working on my novel. Having a late lunch while typing this.

Lots of interruptions today. I’m on 3K and ready for another break. I’m going to take a hot shower and then maybe write for a bit longer before bed.

That sounds great, did you manage to get back to writing after that? 🙂
      Hugs!

I’d love to attend, but will have to skip it this month unfortunately 🙁
Cheering on everyone participating though, hope you all have two amazing writing days (and even more during the month)!

Looks like I’m the only warm body for the Saturday session. My goal today is just to enjoy some Saturday writing and enjoy working on my novella. About to get started.

I decided to do some character development first and that took quite a while. Finally got a new chapter finished and I’m on 1,018 words so far. And my goal of having fun is well under way.
